Meet Andrew Castañeda

As a working artist, I began learning about photography out of necessity a decade ago—- I needed to document my own artwork. From there, I expanded incrementally to documenting other artists’ work, products, headshots, portraits, events, and more.

I am excited about all forms of documentation! Each photo captures a moment in time—- a finished artwork, a well-crafted product, a friendship, a marriage, a family bond, a sibling relationship, a candid laugh, a curated event, a memorable celebration. I approach each photoshoot as an opportunity to capture some kind of magic.

I am a methodical worker —- I have developed my own systems for efficient and productive photographing and image-editing. My working systems allow me to work effectively while following the flow in any situation—- I can adapt flexibly to capture whatever unfolds. I love to capture beauty amid chaos.
